Marketing that gets people talking, not just noticed.
In house support, campaign management and PR from someone who has done it at scale and knows how to make an impact.
Say hello to
Paul Savage Marketing
I'm Paul. I've spent 25 years getting people to turn up, buy tickets and talk about the places I've worked. Trainee journalist to arena launches to running a brewery, it's been a strange route to get here.
Along the way I've launched two new venues, beaten Ed Sheeran to an award, turned a toilet flush into national news, and once got Noel and Liam Gallagher to both play in Hull (separately!) after a random invite via Twitter.
There's more to it than that, and I would love to tell you all about it.
Here to create strategies, find the story and tell people about it.

What I can do for you
I can offer a handful of services that flex around what you actually need. Some clients want a proper strategy. Some just want someone to get on with it. I can do either, or both.
-

Sales, marketing or commercial strategy
Sometimes you don't need more activity, you need a plan. I'll help you work out what you're trying to achieve, who you're trying to reach and the most sensible way to get there, drawing on 20 years of experience.
-

PR and reactive communications
Some of the best opportunities show up with no warning at all. As a former journalist, with a degree in journalism, I’ll help you spot the stories and act on them fast enough that they still matter by the time you respond.
-

Event and launch marketing
Whether it's a product, a venue or a one-off event, launches only get one shot at a first impression. I've opened arenas, launched campaigns and helped acts sell out venues. I know how to make an opening night actually feel like one.
-

Campaign creation and management
This is the bit I enjoy most. Coming up with the idea, then actually making it happen. Check out my projects page for plenty of successful creative ideas.
-

Marketing leadership or interim support
Not every business needs, or can justify, a full-time marketing hire. I can step into that gap, giving you senior marketing input and direction without the overhead of a permanent role.
-

Bespoke projects
There's no published price list, because every business and every brief is different. Get in touch and let's talk about what would actually work for you
Strategy, campaigns and everything in between.

There's no published price list because no two jobs are the same. I work by the hour, the day or the project, depending on what suits you. Get in touch and I'll give you a straight answer once I know what you actually need.
-
Not at all. Most of my experience comes from that world, but the skills transfer to pretty much any industry. If you've got a story worth telling and customers worth reaching, I can help.
-
Yes. Some clients want a campaign delivered, others want ongoing marketing support without hiring a full time person. I can flex between the two depending on what makes sense for your business.
-
A mix. Some are venues and events businesses similar to where I've worked before, others are completely unrelated but need the same thing, a clear strategy and someone who can spot a story. There's no fixed client profile.
-
Depends on the job. Strategy work needs a bit of thinking time to get right. PR and reactive opportunities need to move fast, sometimes within hours, which is where the journalism background helps. I'll always be upfront about timelines when we speak.
-
Both. A lot of marketing only works properly when it's backed by a sensible commercial plan, so I tend to look at the two together rather than treating them as separate problems.
